From the founding edition to the pan-Asian upgrade — five years of FRSS growth at a glance.
Officially named the 1st Foshan Radiosurgery Summit (FFRS 2022), co-hosted by Foshan Medical Association and Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital, alongside the launch ceremony of Foshan's first CyberKnife M6 robotic radiosurgery system.
This summit built a local academic exchange hub for radiosurgery specialists, focusing on basic stereotactic radiotherapy for intracranial and body tumors. Top domestic radiation oncology and medical physics experts shared early clinical practices, standardizing technical workflows for frontline practitioners in the Pearl River Delta and establishing an annual fixed academic event in Foshan.
Titled the 2nd Foshan Radiosurgery Summit (FRSS 2023), co-launched with the hospital's Brain Tumor Center opening ceremony.
The agenda was split into five dedicated tracks: central nervous system tumors, glioblastoma, radiotherapy & immunotherapy, body radiosurgery and radiobiology & medical physics, covering all solid tumor radiotherapy scenarios.
Department chairs from top South China cancer hospitals adopted a full MDT panel discussion model. Attendees extended across Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan and Jiangxi, forming a stable regional platform for standardized brain tumor radiosurgery exchange.
Known as the 3rd Foshan Radiosurgery Summit (FRSS 2024), paired with the 1st International Spatially Fractionated Radiotherapy (SFRT) Forum and a hands-on CyberKnife training workshop for prostate cancer.
Co-organized with the Radiation Surgery Society (RSS), this edition featured hybrid domestic & overseas guest speakers and China's first independent international SFRT track. A dual-track model combining keynote forums and hands-on clinical training was established, with hundreds of attendees connecting Chinese specialists with North American radiotherapy industry leaders. Standardized training materials for CyberKnife prostate treatment were released for clinical reference.
The 4th Foshan Radiosurgery Summit incorporated the 2nd CyberKnife Lung Cancer Training Workshop and 2nd International SFRT Forum.
The summit centered on lung precision radiotherapy, presenting original clinical data of the hospital's proprietary SCART technique. Invited faculty from Stanford Medicine and Kennedy Cancer Center delivered remote lectures to introduce state-of-the-art U.S. radiotherapy protocols.
Concurrent events marked the 5th anniversary of the oncology center and the launch of the "Light of Life" charitable trust, integrating academic exchange with public tumor welfare education. On-demand lecture recordings covering lung SBRT and SFRT were released for permanent industry access.
Renamed the 5th Foshan Precision Radiotherapy Summit, this year breaks the single-disease, single-tech limitation of previous editions to build a cross-Asia integrated academic platform with brand-new sessions:
